How does it work for Coaches?

The SportsCoachRecrutiment.com service works in five steps:

Step 1: Registration and Initial contact with the SCR Team.

Sports coaches will register details on the websites’ online CV. Once registered the individual will be contacted to discuss relevant job opportunities and informed of relevant training.

Step 2: Job Opportunity Search.

SCR are lucky to work with a number of professional organisations who regularly require qualified sports coaches to assist with sports based projects and initiatives. During the next step the SCR team identify appropriate opportunities for the individual within these organisations. If coaches wish to pursue a position SportsCoachRecruitment.com will coordinate communications between both parties, informing them of the individuals availability and allowing the organisation to then view the coaches online profile.

Step 3: Quality Assurance and Training:

Once an enquiry has been made the quality assurance stage will commence, during which the coach is provided with the “SCR guide to good practise” and “Coaches guide to SCR.com”, both of which detail SCR Policies and Procedures. The individual will then attend an induction session with an SCR Head Coach, during which it will be possible to observe demonstrations, assist with tasks and lead a coaching session. The SCR team will provide feedback and suggestions to improve or strengthening the individual’s coaching style.

Please note, this session is not intended as an exam. This time allows the SCR team to see coaches ‘in action‘, to give help where needed and praise where warranted.

“Our Coaching sessions are all based on learning and developing in a fun and safe environment.”

Step 4: Coaching in the Community:

Following completion of the induction both SCR and the individual should feel happy and confident of providing a high quality coaching service. Final arrangements will then be made with the sports coaching organisation. The sports coach will sign an agreement with SCR and coaching will commence.

Step 5: Ongoing support and Opportunities:

In the long term the SCR service provides a valuable tool for continued development and success. Whilst a registered member of SCR the individual will receive regular updates of local job opportunities, and their availability will continue to be advertised to our partners. It is therefore essential that coaches maintain an updated website profile.
